job description - Payroll Manager
- The Payroll team is responsible for overseeing the various day-to-day transactional and technical payroll activities. The Payroll team is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly pay for over 10,000 staff in a multi-union and multi-site environment, including accurate transactional processing and system integrity. The Payroll Manager is accountable for delivering payroll and transactional service excellence for the network’s management team, to its over 11,000 employees and to all third-party stakeholders, both internally and externally. The role provides exceptional leadership in directing, mentoring, coaching and developing a cohesive and dynamic team of staff who administer the various payroll requirements, time and attendance entitlements and the day-to-day customer service and support activities across the hospitals’ network.
- Must Have's:*
- 5 + years of payroll management experience
- At least 4-8 direct reports
- Experienced in processing payroll for 5000-10,000 employees
- Experience managing payroll in a unionized environment
- System configurations/ Reporting
- Experience with Employment standards acts, Canada pension plan, Employment insurance, WSIB
- HR Designation or PCP or CPM
- Experience with a broad array of large systems
- Nice to Have's:*
- Previous public sector or healthcare experience
- Multi provincial payroll
- Experience supervising a team of 10 & above
- Experience with Infor S3 ERP
- Experience Level:* Expert Level
