- Knowledge of established practices and procedures of professional nursing care.
- Knowledge of trends and developments in the nursing field.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Initiative, good judgment and reliability along with advocacy and assertiveness skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to teach nursing practices and other relevant clinical skills.
- Ability to develop and implement nursing care/treatment/discharge plans.
- Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Our Requirements
- The successful candidate is required to have a Diploma/Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of (1) one year direct Mental Health nursing experience preferably in Acute Care or Community Mental Health setting
- Currently registered or able to be licensed with Yukon Registered Nurses Association (YRNA) as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Currently registered or be able to obtain a certificate to practice as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with yukon.ca
- Have current and valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience in mental health would be considered an asset.
Other Skills And Abilities
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector check (must be within 12 months)
- Proof of Covid Vaccinations
Have or willing to obtain the following: WHMIS, N95 mask fitted, TB Test
Adhere To Bayshore Policies And Procedures Such As

- continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
- proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties.
