The role of the assembler is to assemble and inspect medical devices according to the approved manufacturing protocols. They will be responsible for following written protocols, operating testing equipment, using measuring tools and assemble parts on the production line. They will be using such tools as rulers, calipers and magnifying glasses (must have good vision). They must possess good hand eye coordination as they are dealing with very small parts. Each area rotates so that every person learns every aspect of the line. Helps them to not get tired (as some positions they can stand and some they can sit) and helps with cross training. Some positions rotate weekly and some every 30 minutes. They will also be rotating into the packaging line. Must be okay with both packaging and assembly duties.
Environment is very fast paced - right now they can produce up to1000 products/per day. Candidates will get swipe cards to the building and will be expected to swipe in and out for their shifts. Toughest part for candidates is keeping up with the pace and working with the microscopes and magnifying glasses.
